As our trip to New York was the inspiration for this blog I think it is appropriate to mention all the pearls I discovered as I was over there.
Shopping wise I just fell in love with Soho, so many cool shops, cafés and galleries - I am absolutely not done with discovering that part of the city. My advice for you is just to go to Soho, not looking for any thing in particular and just walk around and let the neighborhood surprise you.
But I have to say the best discovery of this trip was Urban Outfitters at 34th street — next to Macy´s. What a cool store with so many great items, both cloths, shoes and home design. I bought this awesome warm and cosy sweater, intended for the winter. And the best thing is that I just discovered that the Urban Outfitters have a store in Copenhagen - whoop whoop — at Østergade 42 B. I definitely have to check that out :)
I can't talk about New York without mentioning the restaurants. I have chosen my three favorite ones from our trip.
Spice Market Fusion Asian kitchen, really good food, rich flavor and great surroundings.
Del Franco Grill The surroundings are more like a bar than a restaurant, but the service was great, the food was fantastic and my husband got a Cheesecake Creme Brulé - his favorite two dessert put together in one.

Ellen´s stardust Diner the home of the singing waitresses. We had breakfast here two times, the food is an all american diner style, but the concept of the restaurant is so cool. All the waitresses are singers trying to get on to Broadway, the street that is staring them in the face all day long as they are serving pancakes and orange juice while singing. The management put up a program to support the waiters in getting extra singing and dancing lessons. So few times a shift guest are asked to support the program by giving few extra dollars. It is not obligated to do so, but the singers are so talented and you have such a great time that you won't hesitate to support the cause. And who knows, maybe you just got your breakfast served by a future Broadway star ;)
