Ole Lynggaard

Henriette's favorite from the Stars and Hearts collection
My dear friend Henriette invited me to an open house at a jewellery store in Birkerød. It was a very nice evening with nice food, drinks and cakes. As well as interesting lectures on pearls and the danish jewellery designer Ole Lynggard Copenhagen and their latest collection. And then we got to look, feel and try on all the beautiful jewellery ... oh my, so gorgeous and elegant.... unfortunately too expensive, but still a lot of fun.

Bracelet from the Love-band collection

Bracelet from the Shooting star collection

My favorite - bracelet form the Shooting star collection

I am in love with this ring - it is from the Winter frost collection

... and a ring form the Lotus collection
Check out their webpage for the 2016 marketing campaign Cirkus - the campaign is quite a treat as it holds both beautiful and stunning pictures of the jewellery and yet in a fun way that applies to the cirkus theme.

Sometimes I just love spending my evenings browsing through the internet looking at beautiful shoes. Christian Louboutin is my favorite shoe designer and maybe his shoes are not the most practical and comfortable, but some of the designs are just like a pice of art.

Robert Mapplethorpe

We spent the weekend in Skanderborg in Jutland and among other things we visited the art museum Aros in Aarhus and saw an exhibit called Living on the edge by the photographer Robert Mapplethorpe. Before we got there, I had never heard of him and I was, to put it mildly, pleasently surprised by the exhibit. His artwork is absoulutly stunning and beautiful, where it is mainly black and white photographs featuring the human body in all it's glory, sculptures, flowers and portraits of famous individuals. Mapplethorpe did have a reputation of being controversial and shocking in his work, especially his photograps of the gay and s/m community in New York in the 1970's. Despite his controversies, the quality in his work, the framing, lighting and the capture of the beauty of the subjects in his photos is what I felt in love with. Here are some of my favorite photographs form the exibit, which I found online.
