Breakfast/lunch ..... aka brunch

A few pictures from my brunch date with my dear friend Ingibjörg today - taking the metro down town with my new New York Yankees cap

Love my new Nike free's - rocking the sporty look today :)

Beautiful Copenhagen in the morning.

This could so bee the street from Galina's Herndon painting (the artist I wrote about yesterday).

We had brunch here: Far's Dreng that translate in to Daddy's boy - I really like the name. It is located in Ny Adelgade.

Nice and Cozy with good food - I will try it again for lunch someday or maybe just for a glass of red wine like my friend Ingibjörg suggested.

My beautiful friend Ingibjörg - always nice to catch up over a good cup of coffee.

Healthy and delicious breakfast ;)

Gems of Roswell

Three weeks in the US. The vacation was awesome, completely outstanding.
We were with our family in their hometown of Roswell, Georgia which is a suburb of north of Atlanta. The town is absoulutly georgeus and so welcoming. I found a few gems while we were there, which I want to share with you.

First, is the old part of the town called Old Roswell. When you drive in to Old Roswell you drive past beautiful little houses on each side of the street. The houses are built in a shouthern american style with a patio, where you would have found grandparents sittting in a rokcing chair in the old days, having a glass of lemonade.

Today, the houses hold speciality stores, galleries and really nice restaurants. We tried two of the restaurants - one for lunch at the Salt Factory pub and later a steak dinner af Little Alley Steak. Both restaurants were outstanding with really good food, the interior was in line with the old style of the town, but in a modern way. Awesome atmosphere and of course the genuine shouthern hospitality and good service.

One of the stores I fell in love with in Old Roswell is Raiford Gallery, where you can by jewelry, glass art, ceramics, and other beautiful art. My wonderful sister-in-law gave me a pair of earrings from the gallery, as well as a glass ball which sybolizes an everlasting friendship. The friendship balls come in diffrent sizes and the most beautiful colors, as you can see in the picture below.

One local artist, amonges others, featured her paintings at the gallery, her name is Galina Herndon and I think she is my new favorite artist. Her paintings at the gallery showed houses and everyday life in a city. Her paintings reminded me of a streets that could be located in any city in Scandinavia, her paintings just took me home. The painting below is called Ride, but the painting I really fell in love with, is called Girl with a bird, unfourtually I could not find a picture of it online to show you.

Another gem I found is located in the town of Alpharetta, which is the next town to Roswell, and is a little store called The Broadwell Cottage. It is my sister-in-law's favorite store and it is absolute adorable. Just one of those shops where you can spend endless time just looking around again and again. The shop sells clothes, awesome boots, jewlery and home items in the cottage style.
