Filippa K AW collection 2015

My two favourite fashion bloggers (who I wrote about earlier this week) have been to the Filippa K woman AW show in Stockholm. Both of them posted this picture and I am in love - this A-lined leather skirt is MY must have.

Check out the two blogs for some more awesome pictures from the show. You can find the links in my previous post.

Fashion Blogs

I follow a few fashion blogs that I really enjoy reading. They are so inspiring and always gives me great ideas for my own closet. I like bogs that are more visual with lot of pictures and short texts. I want to share two of my favourite blogs with you.

http://hippiehippiemilkshake.blogspot.dk
The author is Celine Aagaard from Norway. Her blog has received prices like Årets Moteblogg - Fashion blog of the year.  She has a really unique and minimalistic style. Her assecories only consist of an awesome bag and her big sunglasses. Additionally she's good to add posts that are not about fashion, like a juice recipe or like one of her latest post that is about Coca Cola Life marketing campaign in the Norwegian northen lights.

This is my all time favourite blog, the blogger is Pernille Teisbæk. She is a former model and has been a fashion director for serval danish magazines. Now she is a freelance stylist and fashion expert on a Danish television show. Her blog is not just about what she is wearing but also about latest trends and what is coming up. I always feel like I get some great wisdom or good advice from her short texts. You just absolutely have to fallow her on Instagram, Facebook and her blog.

Favorite items #2

I want to share more of my favourite items with you and hope you will get some inspiration for your own closet. One of the many things I love the most about fashion is getting inspired by my friends and what other people are wearing and how they wear it.

Lets start with my one and only Marc by Marc Jacobs bag - it was love at first sight. I meant it as a "out on the town" bag as it is so small and just fits the few essentials you want to take with you. But also because it has the long chain to wear it over you shoulder - which is perfect for the dance floor ;)

This dress is from Day Birger et Mikkelsen, and even though it has the elegant look that the brand is known for it is so light and comfortable to wear.

My new Andrea scarf - I got it from Santa on board the Iceland air plane on our way to Iceland this Christmas. This scarf has a more winter feeling to it with the dark colours than my other scarf from Andrea. But the total selling point for me was the pink line that gives the scarf the perfect colour combination contrast.

I just love thees shoes from Friis & Company as I went totally out of my comfort zone when I bought them. I always go for the safe black colour when it comes to shoes. But when you are wearing all black outfit a colourful pair of shoes gives the best contrast. And the best part was I only paid like DKK 100 for them :)

Michael Kors bag - this beauty was a christmas present form my parent in laws. I am a total sucker for small bags.

My friend Lára designed this oversize dress few years ago. I love the colour combination in the dress and the way it floats when I am wearing it.
Bought these Marc by Marc Jacobs earrings in New York last year and I wear them all the time. They are so minimalistic, simple and raw, but so beautiful and wearable. I have bought the same earnings to give to friends and family as they are just perfect for every day and also special occation.

Every closet needs a good trenchcoat, it is absolutely a standard item to have. It is the law!!! Almost :) Mine is from Tiger of Sweden
My Volcano Design legging (yes, sorry I stole the picture form their website, but only to show how awesome they are). Volcano Design is an Icelandic design by Katla Hreiðarsdóttir. Her clothing lines consist of various types of stretch leggings, baggy wrap around overcoats and dresses.

And at last but not least my Samsøe & Samsøe overall. It has an opening in the back that gives it a nice feature. I feel like that an overall is becoming a "need to have" in every wardrobe, it is just a such a cool outfit that makes a statement.

New H&M brochure

I absolutely love when a new brochure from H&M comes in the mail -  I'm like a little child at Christmas. It is so much fun browsing through it and get inspired by the latest trends. Found at least a couple of items I am definitely gonna buy. Rose pink stretch jeans and a white shirt with black stripes.

Farvi.is

My girls got these beautiful sweaters for Christmas from Ingó's brother and family. Gudda, his wife told me that her sister Tobba (Þorbjörg Helga Ólafsdóttir) designed them. She is a graphic designer and has a small shop with her husband.
Also my mother in law had the most beautiful wrappingpapper for Christmas that also had her design on it.

So I just had to check out their website www.farvi.is. They have both home design items,  sweaters and T-shirts with the most amazing design/print. The key word for the design is simplicity, witch I really like, but also in a such an unique and sometimes humorous way.

Their vision is quality before quantity and they use materials that are environmental friendly or recycled. The sweaters that my girls got are so well sewed with a beautiful neckline and the fabric is so soft and good quality. I really recommend that you check out their website, specially my Icelandic friends, as lot of the design has focus on Icelandic consumers.

The wrapping paper that my mother in law had - a simple Scandinavian design

The Icelandic alphabet - you can get it in different colours

Happy new year

I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a fabulous new year. Me, Ingó and the girls spent the holidays with our family and friends in Iceland. It has been a wonderful time and we will travel back home to Denmark filled with love and happines over the fact that we have so many wonderful people in our life and even though we only see them twice a year they always welcome us with open arms and spoil us with food, wine and hospitallity. Thank you all with all our hearts.

I am looking forward to the year 2015 and hope to share even more of my closet with you. In the spirit of the new year I want to post this picture of the last (and first) outfit of the year. My christmas present from the Icelandic designer Andrea. I have mentioned her before as I absolutly just love her design. The black overall is so seasonless and wearableYou can style it up and down and make it the perfect outfit for New Years, Christmas Party or a simple family dinner, but the fabric is also so light and soft that it will be great for all the summerparty later this year with sandals and colorful accessories.
