Love for pottery

My favorite home design right now is Kähler.  The company was established in Denmark 175 years ago by a potterymaker and earlier this year they lunch a "Jubilæumsvase" in limited edition. It was a pottery vase with a golden stirpes, that made women in both Denmark and Iceland (and probobly in other countryies as well) go crazy. The wase is absoulutly beautiful but Kähler have so many other items that are amazing as well and like 175 years ago the design is still handmade. This christmas I just fell in love with their Urbania light houses. The design of the white pottery houses is so simple and minimalistic - great example  of the famous scandinavian design. They come in various shape and sizes, but they only come in white. They are beautiful as a single item and also as a set of two or more. 

   

It is time for the warm socks

Well, vintner is here and it is getting cold, so it is the perfect time to light the candel, wrap yourself into a blanket and get some new cosy high socks to keep you warm.

Yellow christmas

Every year I go out for at christmas dinner with a group of faboulus girls that are a mixed group of friends and their friends and their friends and so no. We call the event The pink ladies Xmas. The name has its origin from the first year we had this event as we had a color theme that was pink.

 

This year the color team was yellow. It was not a popular color, specially not in the middle of vinter, close to christmas as that is not the color you find in stores right now. It was a challenge but the result was amazing, 40 girls all wearing yellow and it was so fun and inspiring to see what everybody had come up with.

I just came across this beautiful picture from AndreA on facebook. I just had to share it with you (and of course I also shared it on facebook). The pieces in the picture are absouluty gorgeous, each and every one of them. The long furry coat on the left is now officially on my christmas list. The long necklesses are so unique and stylish and are such a great way to accesorice the black christmas dress.

If you are ever in Iceland you just have to visit the store on Standgata in Hafnarfjörður. It's not big but it really welcoming and has a great selection. You can get totaly lost just looking, browsing and trying on new things.
